The Troubadour Sessions

Inspired by the hootenanny tradition that grew out of the Appalachian folk scene, The Troubadour Sessions revives the practice of musicians gathering simply to sing their songs to one another - freewheeling, improvised, and alive.

Drawing from the storytelling worlds of artists like Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and more, this live session brings together three musicians - Aanchal Bordoloi, Leonardo Varghese and Jaimin Rajani - in an open, intimate exchange of voices, stories, and sound.

Performed as a shared musical circle, the experience blends live vocals, acoustic instrumentation, and spontaneous jamming. At a time when India’s live scene celebrates jazz, metal, blues, and indie pop, this project carves out space for folk as a form of narrative, resistance, and reflection.
