The House Blue

What is home? Is it a physical space, a feeling, or even a person? The House Blue is a unique blend of pop-up photography and collaborative narrative theatre that explores these questions.

Rooted in a series of images taken by documentary photographer and filmmaker Mritunjay Kumar on the last day his family occupied a government quarter, the performance reflects on themes of migration, displacement, and loss. While the photographs capture the fleeting moments of leaving a house, the show delves deeper into the emotions, memories, and universal questions surrounding what it means to leave, let go, and redefine home.

The House Blue was originally produced by Serendipity Arts Foundation for the Serendipity Arts Festival, 2024.
