The Un-Recital
Last April, Sahil Vasudeva brought us one of our most moving and unique performances at the theatre. This special piece is back for three more showings. Amongst the country’s best-regarded classical musicians, Sahil breaks away from a traditional concert recital to offer classical music within a personal context. By incorporating mixed media and an introspective narrative, 'The Un-Recital' looks at his journey as a pianist juxtaposed with the chaos of the city he calls home. The performance will include work by Rachmaninov, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Philip Glass, Schumann, Debussy and his own compositions.

The Gentleman's Club a.k.a TAPE
Last time Gentleman's Club came to OddBird we loved the layered writing, sensitive performances and vibrant entertainment. The play, which masterfully weaves dance and music into the narrative, tells a provocative tale of women that celebrate the masquerade of masculinity. Set in the thriving underground club scene in Mumbai amongst a motley group of women who revel in drag, the plot seduces you into a secret world where you can take on any identity you want. Don't miss the Club's main act, Rocky (aka Shamsher) - an homage to Shammi Kapoor and that golden era of Hindi cinema. Quicksand
Written and directed by Neel Chaudhuri, with crisp performances by actors from the Tadpole Repertory, Quicksand tickles the curiosity for many reasons. It is inspired by real events. It is about an incident at the airport between two strangers that blows up to the world at large. It examines the trending brand of justice by social media that prevails. As the two private lives unravel in the public eye the play expresses the shifting perspectives through participants, spectators and commentators. Featuring Devika Rajpal, Kriti Pant, Neel Sengupta and Pranjal Vaid. *For ages 16 and above.
