Notes on Chai

In a Solo performance, Jyoti Dogra brings body, voice, and text together to create metaphors exploring the inner and outer landscape of urban lives bringing forth the immediacy, and conflicts of the everyday. Drawing from various influences like Tibetan throat singing, western overtones and extended vocal techniques, the performance is series of vignettes portraying everyday scenes that are overlooked by our peripheral vision.
