Echoes of June by Bharat Sikka

Echo’s of June is a short film created by visual artist Bharat Sikka and performance artist Nikhil Chopra. The film reflects on the themes of life and death through simple but striking imagery of light, shadow, and the body.

Bharat, known for his photography that examines India’s cultural changes, and Nikhil, whose performances often explore identity and history, bring their practices together in this collaboration. The result is a work that blurs the line between still image and moving gesture, creating space for quiet reflection.

Rather than telling a straightforward story, the film invites viewers to pause and consider the transient nature of existence - what we hold on to, and what inevitably fades.
