Deviant Octopus and Fountain
###### Deviant Octopus by Jasmine Yadav, Winner - PECDA 2024
Ever felt like you don’t quite fit into a box? Deviant Octopus dives headfirst into that feeling. The dancer moves between human, creature, and something in between - twisting, bending, shifting. It’s all about desire: how we express it, how it’s controlled, and what happens when we let it take over. Using movement, clothing, and play, this piece peels back layers of expectation to reveal something wild, raw, and unapologetically alive. This is a work-in-progress sharing.

###### Fountain - Surjit Nongmeikapam
A man from Manipur hovers in mid-air. Suspended in time and space, he invites us into a world that feels both deeply personal and strangely universal. Fountain isn’t just about defying gravity - it’s about memory, survival, and quiet rebellion. With sound and movement, it creates a space for reflection, for stories, for what’s left unsaid. The performer, Surjit, is a two-time PECDA winner - for Nerves (2014) and Folktale (2016). This is a work-in-progress sharing.
