A body begins vibrating slowly, percussion is added to the mix and together, the two entities pick up pace & tempo. In this solo movement piece, an artist renders her interpretation of Maqam - a system of melodic modes used in traditional Arabic music. The gradually intensifying movements grip the viewer and one can feel the pulsating energy viscerally cascading as the piece progresses. Ages 16+.
